Magdalena (a.k.a MLenna or Magdalenna) was born in Indonesia and grew up surrounded by poverty and violence. Raised to be a businessman, a scientist, or anything that could save the country from the third world problem, Lenna chose to deepen her passion for Performing Arts instead. Her main goal in life is to make the world a little more colorful and to put smiles back into people's faces.

 

At the age of 17, Lenna got a scholarship to study abroad in Seattle, and while she was completing her associate degree at the North Seattle College, she took an unpaid part-time gig as a pianist at an Italian restaurant in order to practice her skill in performing.

 

In 2013, she got applied to several major performing arts universities and got accepted, however, her dad, who owned several Audio & Visual businesses, said there was no money in music and said she would make a great video editor.

Having a completely zero background in filmmaking, Lenna pulled the trigger and went to a filmmaking school the next year. Four years later, she graduated magna cum laude in filmmaking from the Art Institute of Seattle, completed a 1-year internship at Screaming Flea Production working on TV shows like "Hoarders", and moved to Los Angeles permanently to advance her career in video editing and motion graphics. 

 

In 2016, she got multiple job offers in the LA area and accepted 2 out of the 5 video editing jobs she got accepted for. In the first year at both companies, her co-workers and bosses started to call her a "Magician" because of her speed of implementation to turn in projects in a short amount of time and for her ability to create something spectacular out of 'nothing' (bad footage). Because of that, in just a few years, she was trusted with leading at least 200 video projects for A-list celebrity clients, such as Idris Elba, Armie Hammer, Joey King, Felicity Huffman, Josh Holloway, Common, to name a few.

 

After a couple of years working with amazing clients and people, Lenna decided to share her skill and knowledge with other video editors in the U.S. Nowadays she spends most of her time traveling and training other talented video editors/motion graphics while also starting her own small video marketing company.
